How to use a single key to register multiple KernelCare servers

KernelCare is often deployed on a large number of servers. Adding those servers one by one is a hassle. In that case, KernelCare key can be used to deploy and register multiple servers at once.

Registration is still straightforward:

kcarectl –register [YOUR KEY]

The key can be obtained from CLN.

The same key can be used for all the servers!

Alternatively, you can partition servers in groups (a group per key). Such partitioning is convenient for monitoring – as you can monitor each group separately using Zabbix or Nagios.

It’s important and necessary to update your Linux servers, preferably by enabling automatic software updates. Performing regular software updates to address any vulnerabilities that could arise. Linux users have a tendency to fail to implement patches in a timely manner, which then results in software that is now easily exploited by hackers. These hackers are then privy to your enterprise’s sensitive information. By enabling and having automated updates to your Linux servers, you’re able to alleviate any stresses that come from addressing multiple, required security updates, that can be made available at any time. With automatic updates for your software systems, your security measures will be kept up-to-date, and not require any additional user resources or attention.
